I received the radiator today. The description said it was 3 core but is only 2 core.
Any ideas if it will cool the 1987 2.5L 4 cylinder chevy S10 engine ? I plan on running a pusher fan. If not I will return it.

    Hello,

    I've not heard good things about the aluminum radiators being offered for the old Volvos and I know for a fact that some if not all of them don't bolt right in and require some mods to the mounting brackets.

    I had assumed an all aluminum radiator would transfer heat better than copper/brass, but I found this article below which dispels that idea if the aluminum radiator isn't built properly.

      Send it back, it's not what you ordered. You can check the fit before you do and it will give you some extra time to consider your options. As Erik notes Alloy rads aren't a panacea for cooling problems. The main plus is that they are readily available in many sizes and configurations. That also keeps the price down unless you have it totally custom made.
