Timing belt- Clockwise , which perspective 700 1991

I recently installed a new timing belt and I am ready to do the readjustment of removing the plug in the cover to loosen rotate the crank a tad and tighten things up. My memory fails me at this moment. In the FAQ's there is mention of rotating the crank clockwise. Is this clockwise from standing in front of the engine OR is it from the engines perspective? 37 ft lbs is the torque for the tensioner bolt.FYI . Cheers

Clockwise, in this case, means as you are looking at the engine from the front--in the direction the engine turns when running. It only takes a partial revolution to put the TB slack on the idler pulley side of the engine. Remember to loosen the locking nut before turning the crankshaft. - Dave

Thank you Dave. I thought as much but wanted to be sure. And yes! the plan is to loosen the locking nut, thanks for mentioning this . Take care
