544 front turn signal bezel 444-544

So I am working on upgrading the lighting and visibility on my 1966 PV544. Brake lights look great with the LED bulbs. Changed the flasher unit as well.
Working on the front turn signals and I am looking for tips on re-installing the turn signal lens and bezel. It refuses to cooperate in spite of warming with a heat gun, dropping the entire rubber fixture in boiling water to no avail. The bezel will not fit into the rubber base.

Any clever tips out there?

    Hello:
What flasher unit worked for your LED bulbs. Brand & part number? I bought one on Amazon and it didn't work.
    Thanks.

Rubber will soften up with glycerine. It will also help with fitting the ring. It will dry off after fitting. Wipe off as much excess as possible.

New rubbers are available for $22.00 each.

If your backing plates(bulb holders) or wiring are in poor condition or stuck inside the rubbers, new ones are also available already installed in the rubbers for $50.00 each.

When the rubber gets really hard, it almost impossible to get the trim/retaining ring in after the lens is installed.

If you do want new rubbers, I believe I have them in stock.
