Dear brickboard family,

I'm looking for help in finding inner window scrapers and sunroof gasket for my 740 sedan. Also any reasonable alternatives.

I would look at the Mcmaster-Carr (mcmaster.com) website. They have an unbelievable array of things, including seals. I looked at some but did not take measurements of the window seals on a vehicle to see how much potential they have.

For my 93 940, I ordered the sunroof seal from IPD. Unfortunately, the seal was not the correct size, and there was no way to stretch it such that it would be usable. The glue on the seal was useless as well.

The problem on my sunroof was that the seal was falling downward off the sunroof panel. I took the sunroof panel out and reglued the seal to the panel using a marine sealant.

So far, it has not leaked into the cabin, and my vehicle sits outside all the time, unfortunately.

I also heard others say you can get a length of seal from Auto Zone. I looked at theirs, but I questioned if it would stay on the sunroof panel right out of the package. The glue backing just didn't seem to be up to snuff.
