I'm changing the exhaust manifold gaskets on my 1988 745t.
Three of the nuts came off OK, but five studs unscrewed from the head. Those threads look clean.
Probably because I didn't pay attention and use the correct (nickel) anti-seize on the nuts 13 years ago.
I'll use new studs and nuts. What, if anything, should I put on the studs going into the head. FAQ's suggest "high heat removable Loctite" Which Loctite would be best for this? Or maybe some other 'stuff?'
And, how tight should the studs be in the head?
Thank you, chuck
