Is there a source for the instrument cluster bulbs that twist into the cluster from the rear side? I've used up the ones from the parts 240.

Yes there is.
I presume you have halogen bulbs which are a bit less common than normal incandescent bulbs. The socket of the bulb is designated BAX10D (sometimes B10D), and with this put into a search engine, you should be able to find plenty.

I use the 5 W version (black socket), but there's also a 3 W one (brown socket).
I used an unbranded one sold by Skandix which didn't last long. Now I have the 12615CP by Philips installed, and they are fine. 12614CP is the 3 W version. Looks like Philips USA have them as well.

I will presume you are speaking of the illumination for the panel, not warning lamps. The halogen lamp is pretty precious, but I see one supplier that is not gouging:

Upload a photo of the bulbs.
Maybe they are wedge bulbs that plug into a pc socket or a one piece PC
bulb and socket. Lamps vary by model but CEC Industries makes the lamps.
See if the bulbs pull out of the sockets or not, go to CEC industries
website and look up miniature wedge bulbs or PC lamps.
You want 14 Volts NOT 12 volts.
