holes in firewall and what attaches to them 444-544 1961

I took this 1961 544 apart 21 years ago. Took pictures as I disassembled but not of the firewall. I am in the process of cleaning up and filling in the Unnecessary holes and smoothing it out before prime and paint.

Can you take a look and let me know what each numbered hole is used for.

Thanks
Ray j.

5 and 6 are for thr electric cables, 8 is the heater valve. 3 might be the choke cable, 2 and 4 no idea ?
    Regards Michael

      Thanks Michael.

Number 7 is a short tube sticking through. Can it be eliminated ?

      Best

        Ray;

If its a tube, it is likely the guide-tube for the chain which raises and lowers radiator bind/jalousie...so the question you must first answer is if you are keeping this accessory.

        Cheers

            1. Large wire to ignition switch, smaller starter trigger & generator light wires
            2. Firewall insulation clip
            3. Choke cable and water temperature gauge capillary tube
            4. Firewall insulation clip
            5. Upper fusebox wires & harness
            6. Lower fusebox wires & harness
            7. Radiator blind chain
            8. Heater valve
            9. Brake light switch wires, I think?
            10. Firewall insulation clip

What's the squarish hole next to hole 2? That isn't stock.

Thanks Eric. That took care of that in short order.
That squareish hole is where the new fuse box comes through from the inside.

              Thanks again

The hole for the speedometer cable used to be there.
