RADIATOR CHANGE - TRANS FLUID LINE ALSO 200

Am about to change the rad on a 93 245 Classic Automatic. When I replace the trans cooler lines how much fluid will drain when I disconnect? Advice - raise the right side of the car. Have original Volvo lines and couplers for the replacement. Any thread sealant needed. Looks easy, I hope so any tips appreciated.
Thanks

Yes, it's fairly easy. Just remember to hold the fittings at the radiator while unscrewing the fitting on the lines. Take your time and don't rush it

Do not use sealant on the connections. They are designed to seal all on their own and the use of something like teflon tape can only lead to problems if bits of it should circulate through the transmission. You need not jack the r/s higher--the fluid you lose may fill a tea cup. - Dave

Thanks - so this is a relatively easy job then?

Hi Mike,

I'd say it's easy enough. While you're there, you might want to remove the fittings from the transmission and replace the O rings.
