I think I have some gears that are NOS. I can check for the crown and pinion but pretty sure i have a new differential set and maybe the right crown and pinion set too. I think its for an older volvo with a rear axle that splits but I could perhaps compare some measurements to ID them..
I have a 66 Amazon but not an earlier car. I'm sure it's pretty rare to even find new gears. can I retire now ? ;-) I got a NOS crown and pinion for my amazon with the same bunch.. and lowered it like a 123GT with the OD.. it really made it a lot tighter I did all the bearings too.. I did not change the differential though..
I figure somewhere out there there is some guy with a nice shiny 444 or 544 with some fine work into his car and a set of grumbly old gears causing it to sort of chug and jitter in slow traffic... and here I am with nice new gears in a bucket with no old rear axle to even fit them in. I need to verify but Im pretty sure they are from an older Volvo with a split case rear axle and not one with a tin cap like my 122 or most rear axles. I believe they are smaller gears, maybe from a earlier car with a b16 or something ?
