Hello,
I'm working on the rear brakes of a 130 and I notice that there is a 1-inch cylinder as well as the 7/8 that I have. Both used with the same master cylinder.
Are these differences whether the car is equipped with power brakes or not?

Also, the pressure brake light switch looks like a good spot for an air bubble to get trapped. When I removed mine, it was packet with a grease that looked like the rebuild type. Any thoughts?

    The size of wheel cylinder you should use is dictated by the VIN of the car.

    So you need to go to a catalog and check.

      Hey Eric,
      I will check the vin. and make sure that 7/8 is the one I need .
      I was just wondering why the 2 different sizes were used .
      Its probably got to match the type of front caliper used.

        The calipers don't change so that's not the reason.

        I finally got it through my thick head by reading more carefully the catalog data at the bottom of the relevant parts pages and Volvo went to the 7/8" wheel cylinder when they added a proportioning valve starting in 1967.
