Molding adhesive 200 1983

I'm considering purchasing in a 1986 240 that has a few pieces of the side molding hangin loose. Is there an adhesive that works better than other similar adhesives for this job?

generally 3M super trim adhesive, essentially a strong double sided tape.

I have always used Dap construction adheasive. Works great, lasts and dries quick! Get it @ you local H/W store.
