Curise Contro Sensitivity Adjustment

Is is possible to adjust cruise control speed sensitivity on a 92 745t. When driving up hills, and to lesser extent into a strong headwind, with cruise on, the throttle is pulsed or cycled in an attempt to maintain set speed. No other vehicle I have owned with cruise has done this.

Re: Curise Contro Sensitivity Adjustment

My '91 740 does the same thing. The tranny wants to downshift too easily.

The earlier cruise controls on the 240s had adjustments for lo-speed cutoff and system gain. But neither of these influenced how, when, or why the tranny shifted.

Re: Curise Contro Sensitivity Adjustment

There are no adjustments on this cruise control. Usually they work perfectly. Check your vacuum hoses for breaks or splits at the ends.
