Electrical History 200 1993

I am in search of a tail light circuit board for my 1993 Volvo 240. I would love to find the cheapest (new or used) price for this part and was wondering if this is interchangeable with previous models. If it is, up to what year? Is it limited to the 1986 - 1993 240's only?

Thank you

Re: Electrical History 200 1993

Moe,

Mine were shot on my 92,not repairable (in my mind)they were all burnt where the connectors plug in. One connector was kinda burnt also. I got replacement connectors (3) from a junkyard with a bunch of other stuff. ($27.00) Got new "circuit cards" from Autobahn Motor Cars in Fort Worth for $29.04 per side. Installed new cards, bent bulbholder tangs to assure good connection and squeezed connectors (plastic and all) to make sure they kept good contact with cards where they connect.( replaced one connector). Hopefully I won't have to worry with them for quiet a while.

The tail light circuit board is an in-expensive part from your local dealer to my recollection, have you called them and asked? Easily replaced too unless the plastic around the bulb sockets is distorted by heat. If the plastic around bulb sockets is badly distorted or the housing is cracked allowing water to get inside, you'll most likely need to replace the complete housing. A parts guy could tell you what year cars yours will interchange with.

Re: Electrical History 200 1993

$76.50 is what they told me at Bay Ridge Volvo in Brooklyn, New York. In the past eight months I have spent over $5000 in repairs to my Volvo 240 and i'm kinda not in the mood to spend anymore money. I need this tail light circuit board as cheap as possible.

thanks
