Hi all,
the wife took the '85 245DL in for our state's dyno emissions testing today, and it failed on both the hydrocarbons and NOx emissions. Anybody have any experience in this area with the 2-series?
The most annoying part of this whole deal is that I could probably replace all of the emissions related bits on the car for myself (at 210k miles, what isn't already bad probably isn't long for this world anyway) for what I expect it'll cost me to pay some "technician" to fix whatever's wrong, but I can't get it retested without having said "technician" sign off on the back of the original test sheet (the automotive "technician" lobby at work in Missouri's capital no doubt).
cheers,
scott
