Lambda Sond warning lamp on - problem? ALL

When I started my 1991 940's engine this morning the lambda sond lamp was (and stayed) on, but the engine otherwise seems as smooth as ever.

It has a European F230FB engine with 158,000 km (just under 100,000 miles).

What could it be? Is this something I should rush to the dealership for or is there nothing that can go terribly wrong?

I had this problem last month, I reset the dianostics ( find in700/900 faq ) and the light went out.

If nothing else is wrong, I think this light comes on to remind you to check your oxigen sensor/lambda system.
