Power Windows 200 83

All the power window switches on the master board on the driver's side works except for the passenger side rear. Also, the passenger side rear switch itself doesn't work either. What would cause both switches to be isolated and be inoperable but the other switches okay?

Re: Power Windows 200 83

To Michael: I did exactly what you suggested. I took out the master board and swapped the rear switch to the front switch and the darn thing worked. I'm glad it did because I atleast now know that it's not a motor issue. I'll just go to IPD and get a new master board for less than $20.

Re: Power Windows 200 83

I not trying to insult your intelligence, but are you sure it's the switches that are not working, and not the power window motor itself? Or perhaps one of the wires leading up the motor has become disconnected or frayed?

Re: Power Windows 200 83

To MATT L. - I wouldn't know if it's the motor itself. All I know is that when I press either the master switch for the rear pass window or go in the back and press the actual rear pass switch itself, that both don't work. However, all the other switches on the master works, and all the other switches on the other doors work.

If you can, try swapping a switch that's known to work with one that doesn't to see if the switch is actually the problem. You may also need to clean the switches. Check out this site, which has some great info, and several pictures about power window switches:
