aligning flexiplate for angular motion sensor 200 88



Hi I,m in a bit of a bind I just sussed out that I need to align the flexiplate for the timing due to the ang mot sensor at a guess the two rivetted posts next to the solid part of the grilled piece on the flexiplate should be at the sensor at tdc. But the haynes manual just says mark the flywheel or drive plate, duhhh bit late now, can anyone pleaseeee heeelp

Mike, Turn the crankshaft so that #1cylinder is at TDC 2, position drive plate on the crankshaft so that pin (A) is approximately 15degree from the horizontal position and pointing away from the starter motor mounting. Note that there are two pins (A) & (B) Good luck.
