Radiator temperature sensor 700 1987

I own 740 GLE, 1987 and I am trying to innstall new radiator. It is after market brand Auto-Kool made of aluminum and plastic. Instead of temperature sensor there is a piece of plastic with rubber grommet. Does it mean that I have to remove old sensor and install on the new radiator? If I have to do that how can I remove it, I have tried but without success. Does anybody have experience with this?

If the sesor pushes into the rad. then buy a new gasket for the sesor or it will leak they are a one time type gasket, do the right thing for your brick.

You should be able to unscrew the old radiator temperature sensor from the old radiator and screw it into the new one.
