no start diagnosis 700 1987

What I know- my car ran fine, maybe a little rough. Then I tried to jump another car. The ignition coil blew up, sprayed black gunk everywhere. I replaced it. No start. So I replaced the power stage, and it started.

I drove around the neighborhood and stalled once. Then I tried to drive a few miles down the road and stalled and restarted several times along the way. Now it sits in the driveway ands will start after it has been sitting a while, but then goes dead.

There is fuel coming into the engine, so I assume this eliminates the fuel pump, but that is my assumption.

I assume I fried something, but I don't know what to look at. Right now I am checking over the injectors, but that is just random diagnosis. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Ryan

Somethings not right. I would check your wire connections that are behind and under your distributor. I do not mean for you to remove the cap! Just check for any loose connections while the engine is running useing a small wood stick and giggel those wires. I had a very similare problem with my 740 gle wagon , in fact thats why the guy sold it, I found the problem by just wiggeling the wires. Maybe you will have the same good luck..Dan.
