LH module 700 1991

my740 is registering a fault code of 1-4-4, which the manuals say is a problem with the LH module or wiring. The car dies suddenly, but then stearts back up withins seconds or minutes. this was happening about once a month but has progressed to once a day. any advice would be great, but specifically, where is the LH module,or ECU located? thank-you

Re: LH module 700 1991

Haroon is having similar problems with his 240. You may want to follow that thread: LH Question. Your LH FCU (fuel system) is a metal box behind the outside kick panel in the passenger footwell area. The EZK ICU (ignition system -the other half of the "ECU") is buried up and to the left of the centre console.
