Take back the Red Star 900 1996

This is a follow up to the post I made about having the whole engine harness replaced at the dealer, following intermittant rough idles and missfire codes. I just got back from my trip, and it is back to its old tricks. The rought idle is back as well as the check engine light. This is after driving it about 125 miles with no problem. When I asked the dealer at the time of the harness replacement, what do we do if this does not fix the problem, he said it could only be the ECU. So, I just spent $1150.00 for nothing, and I assume a new ECU is going to be at least $500. What do I do. I plan to take it down Tuesday (60 miles away), and at the very least get the ECU for 30% off (wholesale) and get the labor comped and try to get some kind of partial refund on the $1150. What do you all think. I dont have way to check the new codes in the ECU, so I dont know what codes it is showing.
