HELP!! I have a 242 with a b20f engine. What inexpensive performance mods can i do to it? I just want to make it a little faster 0-60 wise. thank you.

Re: performance mods 200 1975

Check out performance items for the 140 w/B20F. ipd has a couple of cams, and there are many others out there. You can do headers and a larger exhaust w/only one muffler as well. As George mentioned, milling the head is also an option, as well as a DIY street port job. But beyond that you'll need to bring more $$$.

It is a pretty good engine but has low compression ratio.

If it were mine I'd mill the head and think about a cam.

I've been happy with the IPD 7001 cam, lifter and pushrod

kit. Don't think you need double valve springs, etc.
