Tire sizes and handling etc. 200 91

Hi,

Looking to round out my 240's handling. Boge turbo gas all around and IPD braces front and back. Body roll is gone but tire deflection is ruining the ride. Next step is tires. Will 195/60/14 fit a 240 without rubbing anywhere? Is this a good match or is there a better tire profile that I should use? I want to keep my standard 14" rims as not to add any new expense. I would rather put the money towards a better tire. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Try 195/70 instead. THe 65 is pretty thin for the car, like Dave Lotman said.

I actually had 205/70s before. They worked all right, but I think a little wide for the rims.

Tires vary greatly by type. Get one with a stiff, straight sidewall. The usual all season type tires are usually too squishy on the side to do you very good.

That tire size is probably too small to give you proper gearing or height

of your car off the ground. A 196/65-14 might be better. The main problem

is there really isn't a lot of 14 inch sizes compatible with the stock

185/70-14. you could look around for a 205/65-14 but I don't know if they

make that. Either way you are going taller or shorter than stock by a

noticeable amount. I used to run the 195/70-14 but I wanted a much taller

tire for my car at the time. Nowadays I would not want that much of an increase in diameter. If you like steel wheels but want a larger tire

try to get some 15 inch steel wheels from a late model 7 series. That

would be a wide enough wheel that you could use turbo size tires. 195/60-15
