Happy ending... 200 1989

Quick update about my speedo/odometer/headlight catastrophe.

As I posted earlier about my nonfunctioning speedo below 38mph and my nonfunctioning headlights after getting the car back from the odometer repair shop.

I brought my car to my regular Volvo mechanic. He took apart the cluster, fixed my speedo, looked at the headlights and fixed them... all in about 15 mins. He didn't charge me anything; however, yesterday I went to Outback Steakhouse and bought a $25 gift certificate and gave it to him. He appreciated it.

Just goes to show that there are some honest mechanics out there.

ps, my odometer still doesn't work, but I got my money back for that and, well.. for the time being, I don't really care anymore. :-)

      I didn't have time to ask. They were busy yesterday and I didn't want to take up anymore time. However, next time I go in, I'll definitely ask.

    I have a Volvo mechanic like that...You gotta love it...I myself will try to drive my 240 forever just because he is the best...Its like finding a good doctor...the right woman...Once you find em, you never want to let em go!!!

    Good for you...and like I always tell him after he does my timing belt...
