My anti-lock brake light comes on now - and stays on - the whole time I'm driving, and of course the anti-lock feature on the brakes isn't working, but otherwise I have normal braking. This is on a 1987 760-Turbo. Any ideas what to look at first?

I don't have your mod but this has been posted before and my understanding is that the fuse is in the passenger footwell left side, against the center console.

The fuse is in the overvoltage and spike suppressor.

First check out the FAQ it has several ideas on what to look for, if that doesn't help then come back and ask again (most of the time it is the sensors needing cleaning).

Bingo! Clean your sensors. They are located in front/top of spindle assembley with a black tube connected and a bolt that holds them in. They pickup metal filings from rotors and I guess that causes problems. We had the same problem a year after we bought ours and I just clean them with brake cleaner when I take the wheels off. Why and how do you know that the abs isn't working?

What's wrong with that? They don't shorten the distance to stop but allow you to steer out of harms way. There is a big misconception that abs shortens the distance to stop and that's why there are so many accidents with its use and insurance companies that I know of don't give a discount for it anymore. I have used it successfully twice on wet roads. In the panic to stop most people freeze up and can't steer.
