Thanks for the input on the 780

Thanks to all who responded to my question about whether to purchase the 780. With six cars already I needed the reality check. I will pass on this one, but I KNOW I have not bought my last Volvo. And thanks to "Long Island" for the tip. You guys are great. I love this board. Steve (78gt,88 740 wagon)

I agree with Paul that a headlight and two tail lights later and you would have recovered the outlay for purchasing the whole car. Then, all further parts would have een profit. I would have bought a $500 780 in a heartbeat for that reason. There are no higher demand parts cars since so many 780 parts are specific, Italian and unobtainable.

I didn't reply to your original post, but any Bertone for $500 is worth it for parts alone.
