Stuttering upon acceleration, 700 89ti

Hi,

I had a small fire b/c i spilled some oil on the turbo, don't lecture me please my dad already did that and i learned my lesson. However it burned for about 30 sec and I put it out with a fire extinguisher. Now upon acceleration the car stutters/hesitates, like gears a slipping accept its an auto and it had nothing to do with the physical transmission. THis only happeneds when i take off from a standing start and i also noticed that if I accelerate REALLY slow it does not do this. THe hesitation is quiete annoying and I'm afraid that i might be doing further damage. I do all the work on my car myself(just changed rotor and pads last weekend, kinda proud of myself). I need to know what to look for, and if i shoudl stop driving until i fix it.

BTW I have a 89 760ti w/mistu turbo if that helps

Thanks guys,

Re: Stuttering upon acceleration, 700 89ti

The symptoms you describe indicate an induction leak. Take all the hoses off and inspect them inside and out. The outlet hose at the intercooler wears out on the bottom, and you cannot see the leak without taking the hose off, but take all of them off and inspect them.
