Cool parking lights under headlights 200 1984

Yesterday evening I saw another 81-85 244 with the square headlamps and reflector underneath, however the reflectors were converted somehow to cool parking lights.

Has anyone ever seen this conversion before and know where I can buy it or how to do it?

I appreciate all replies as usual!

Jeff

Re: Cool parking lights under headlights 200 1984

Sure it wasn't a 740? I'm pretty sure that certain years of the 740 and/or 760 had either turn signals or parking lights under the headlights, which were also quad rectangular like older 240s. If you want to put a bulb behind that reflector, you may have to do some cutting and custom mounting, then splice into the corner lights, and it's probably more trouble than it's worth. It may be possible to adapt similar parts from a 740 to do what you want, but I'm not really sure. It's been a while since I looked at either an older 240 or 740 up close.

Michael,

It definitely was a 244 that I saw, but it might be worth it to see if the 740 lights will fit. They look as if they are about the same size.

I wanted to turn around and go after the guy to see how he had done it, but in Atlanta that is not always so easy.

Jeff
