widshield washers, funny light 700 1989

Hey fellow bricksters!

Recently a light on my dash came on. It is the windshield washer/wiper light. The only thing is, is that they work fine, I filled up the resovior, and its full, they wipe, and spray. Recently I have had the valves repaired, so I don't think it is that. I may be wrong, but they were done about 5-6 months ago. Any clues to what it may be would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, and have fun!!!!

1989 740 GL, 154,000 miles, and running fine!

The light is meant to tell you the washer fluid is low. If it stays on all the time, even after you refill it, then the sensor may be stuck, malfunctioning, or otherwise in need of attention.

A piece of black electrical tape is the easiest way hide it if you don't feel like working on it. The feature is 100% bell or whistle. Not needed for driving, but maybe nice to have if you use a lot of washer juice.
