Just read what I wrote... about not being impressed with the 960 longevity reports... and realized it may not have come across as I meant it. What I mean to convey is that I was not impressed with the mileage figures for the people that responded, as I expected to hear about 960's with lots and lots of miles. The cars that were described were pretty much 'low mileage' vehicles. There. I hope I said it right this time, and I apologize if I offended anyone.

I was perusing the used Volvo section on a certain internet auction site (rhymes with "relay") and saw a 960 listed with 396K. Almost double what my poor old '79 242 GT has on it, and nearly four times what my wife has on her 940T!

Yeah, that makes sense. But didn't the 960 come out in 1991 or 1992 with the 940? I don't know, so I looked it up in FCP Groton, and the first year they list parts for both cars is 1991 in one listing and 1992 in another.

Yeah, but that is still only 10 years. Think how much further you

could have driven if you had started in 1960!

They haven't been making them long enough to accrue the large

mileages like Irv Gordon. Now if you could come up with a

1966 model 960.....
