EFI Brain Box & AMM 200 92

Every so often an air mass meter or an engine computer show up on e-Bay, and I'd consider getting spares if the price is right. Does anyone happen to know the Bosch part numbers for the '92 240 AMM & computer?

Re: EFI Brain Box & AMM 200 92

For the AMM you need the 016 type (0 280 212 016) and for an ECU you need either the 0 280 000 561 or the equivalent 0 280 000 951. Either are trouble prone and often marked "rebuilt "or "Tastad" in Swedish. Make sure you get a guarntee and expect ot pay more than $100 for the most valuable (only valuable Volvo ECU). There is also a California emissions 566 or something. That one might work well. I have pulled an inexplicably odd 572 out of an ordinary '90 244. No idea what that ECU is all about but it did not run well in my 91. I have never seen one of those in an 89-93 car.

Re: EFI Brain Box & AMM 200 92

572 is for a egr,5 speed 3.1 fuel injection car 90-93 240. You most likley have a 561/951 with the 016 amm. California cars with the 2.4 fuel injection and egr use a 556. Look in your kick panel on the right side to verify. I sell the 561-951 for $150. and $75 for the amm, with a 100 day warranty. Maybe a better deal than an unknown on ebay?? Good luck Brian

Re: EFI Brain Box & AMM 200 92

Brian-

Thanks for the info but a couple of points:

By posting under my post, you miss the direct hook up with the guy that needs the ECU. He might see the post but only by checking the Board. If you posted under his, he would get the mail directly.

Second the California 556 you cite is the one I mistakenly called a 566.

And the 561 or 951 variant is found in the overwhelming number of 89-93 240's so please explain which feature of the 572 equipped cars is different. Not the M47 or the 3.1, right? Is that the 90-on California ECU? If you could clarify this, I would appreciate it. Thanks.
