80's & 90's, 240, 740, 940

Anyone know for sure what the Outside Diameter is on the Adjustment Bolts for the Alternator, AC-Compressor, and Power Steering Belts. I measured a 7 mm OD (and a 1 mm thread pitch), but I wonder if perhaps my pocket caliper is not as accurate as it should be and they are 6mm, 8 mm, or 1/4"?

I thought those were a 10mm. There aren't that many 8mm nuts/bolts on the 240.

I could be wrong, but I usually remember the bolt sizes for common jobs. This could be my downfall, though!

First, there is no way I would mistake a 10 from a 6 or 7 mm bolt - just too much noticeable difference. But I may mistake a 6 mm from a 7mm, if I didn't have an exact caliper. However, you are speaking about the bolt head diameter of 10 mm.

I am asking about the bolt [shaft-shank] diameter and thread pitch. I'm fairly certain the pitch is 1 mm. But I am unsure of the diameter. Does it get measured from the outer thread edges or from the inner thread groove closest to the shank portion?
