what are these 2 nipples 200 83

Hey guys,

Thought it might get attention

Intercooling my 242 glt and the tubing from 740tic has a nipple after the ic and a nipple before the ic on the soft hose.

What are these and where do they connect?

Thanks

RR

If it s what I think the nipple before the IC is where the bypass valve hooks in. This is maybe like 1 inch inside diameter hose. Same size on the after IC is for this thing under the intake. Th name escapes me but I know it is described in the 700 FAQ. If your 200 doeesn't have these things to operate the turbo then they could probably be plugged.

Re: what are these 2 nipples 200 83

The one after the intercooler is for the idle air bypass circuit if I remember correctly. When you install the intercooler you want to connect

the wastegate to a spot after the intercooler so your boost is referenced

to the intercooled air. You could use that spot. The rubber hose from

the turbo to the intercooler doesnt' have a nipple on a 740. The rubber

hose you are describing with the rubber extension hose molded in is from

the airbox to the turbo intake. You don't need this hose for your conversion. You want to use the metal elbow with a 1 inch pipe fitting and

run some silicone rubber hose from there to the intercooler. Or get the

pipes from a 240 with intercooler for that side.
