I just pulled it in the garage for a couple of days when I when to move it out there is no clutch. How can it just go away. Its not hydraulic and I can see the fork travel when the peddle is puched in?

Re: clutch 200 85

I would imagine that your clutch late has stuck to the flywheel, Warm up the engine so it starts easily. Find a nice clear space, slightly down hill helps, put tye car in first gear, depress the clutch, release handbrake, and start the car.

AT THIS POINT THE CAR WILL LURCH FORWARD. So be CAREFUL.

Normally being driven in first with the clutch down will release the clutch with a bang. It can also be done by releasing a CO2 fire extinguisher into the bell housing.

Re: clutch 200 85

Makes sense, I cranked it in reverse to get it out of the garage did the same thing in 1st tried it again in 2nd and it made a bang ( I thought I blew something ) but it works fine.

Any Idea what causes it and should I replace the clutch or fly wheel or both.

Re: clutch 200 85

Moisture basically, rust forms between the friction material and the flywheel and glues" the two together. Usually only happens when you leave the car weeks if not months.

Got a leaking hose at the back of the engine, or power washed the engine recently?

Thanks Pete actually we got the car from an uncle it was a gift to my son something just to get him back and forth from campus less than a mile each way. Its been sitting in our garage for the last month only been in and out of the garage. Long Islands pretty humid in the summer I bet thats the moisture problem. My nissan's rotors will delevope a residue you can hear when you back out of the driveway the nextday in the summer. I appreceiate your help!
