Rear Caliper Size 700 87

Hi,

Does anyone know a way to determine piston size on rear ate calipers. I have an 87 745Ti and need to replace L caliper. Local parts sources are requesting piston sizes to match up item.

Is this stamped into piston? Mine are fairly old so reading any stampings has become difficult.

All help appreciated,

remove a piston and measure it! 700 87

It doesn't take that much time.

I'd probably remove the entire caliper and take it in.

BTW, I understand calipers are to be replaced in pairs. If one is gone/going, the conditions that led to it are generally duplicated on the other side. Unless you just want to do one at a time and are prepared to do the other one.
