Are there any publications on how to buy a used volvo. 740 or 240 B230F engine. I am most familier with the B230 but would like to know which engine is considered the best.

Scott -- my good friend Zee's comment reminded me that Evan Reisner had a 3-part serial article on "How to Purchase a Beater", or a similar title, in VClassics Magazine about two years ago. You might want to contact editor Phil Singher via the VClassics website to see about getting a copy. Evan's article was tilted towards the purchase of an entry-level, minimum cost 240, but the wisdom contained is useful at points on the value spectrum.

Not to *my* knowledge. On the other hand, you don't need one. Just ask away on the 'Board. These are the same folks who would be writing for a print publication if such existed. The 'Board does the same job faster and cheaper.
