fuel injection 140-160 1969

I have put a 1974 144 fuel injected motor into my 1969 144. I do have a

workshop manual but it shows a volvo setup. The injection system on my motor is a bosch fuel injection system. There does not appear to be any

control box or connection to the distributer. If there is a control box

where is it located on the 1974 144 wagons?

    Re: fuel injection 140-160 1969

I have a 142e 1971 and my control box is supposed to be under the seat, on top of the spring 'webbing'. It's a D-jet.

I cannot confirm this because I purchased the car without engine or tranny. The previous owner removed the D-jet and put a Weber.

I plan to return it to D-jet if I can locate the rest of the parts needed.

I am still looking for an engine/tranny combo in the south if somebody has one.

    Hope it helps,

    Whorton

The green Volvo manual for 1974 144 or 1975 244 will show this

engine and fuel injection setup. The Haynes manual for early 240s

also shows it. (the one for later 240s does NOT show it, since they

did not use the same engine. It HAS to show the 1975 240 to include

    your engine.)

I'll be interested to know how you do as I have bought a FI system like

that that I hope to install in either a 122 or a 145.

You have a Bosch K-Jetronic F.I. system; there's no control box. It's mechanical, rather than electronc.

Earlier cars used a Bosch D-Jetronic system which is electronic, and has a control box and points in the distributor.
