Will a 260 tach work in a 240 200 84

I would like to know if the tachometer for a 260 will also work in a 240.

It will read 2/3 of the actual RPM. They can be recalibrated, but I don't think it's as easy as turning a knob or flipping a switch. 240 tachs are readily available and cheap, so it's not really worth the trouble.

Yes! It seems like there is a switch on the back. Hook up a borrowed tach and calibrate to it,then install.
