Do any Volvos have an 11 mm hex nuts anywhere? ALL All

especially the 240, 740, or 960 models?

240 - the brass fitting on the intake manifold that connects to the hose from the flame trap.

The overdrive on the M46/OD transmission is retained by eight 11 mm nuts which fit the studs extending from the transmission case.

Now the REAL Volvos (122, 140, 164) and associated engines

(B18, B20 and B30) have LOTS of 1/4"-20 UNC and a few 1/4"-28 UNF

bolts which have a 7/16" hex (0.4375"). 11 mm is 0.433" and 11 mm

wrenches (especially if they are a little worn) work very well on

them.

89 740T with ABS, front caliper bleed screws. All I can think of presently. 11mm is not that common on these Volvos; you would probably find them on a component made by another manufacturer of parts used on these Volvos.

So far, on 240s, the only 11mm tool I can recall using is a line wrench. The brake fittings.
