Rotted Clutch Slave Bracket 700 90

I have to replace the clutch slave as it is leaking fluid. The cast aluminum bracket that holds it in place has been rotted by salt corrosion over the years. As the bracket is cast right into the bell housing does this mean that I need to replace the bell housing? (Ouch)

Has anyone uncovered a way to reinforce/replace the bracket other than replacing the bell housing?

Thanks,

Re: Rotted Clutch Slave Bracket 700 90

Is it that bad? It doesn't have to be too strong; the only thing that holds the slave cylinder in there is a snap ring. I just replaced my slave cylinder. A word of caution: DO NOT BANG IT FROM THE BACK FORWARD IF IT IS RUSTED TO THE HOUSING. Heat the bracket that holds it and wriggle it out. If you bang it, you'll be in trouble. I spent over 10 hours fussing w/ it before I had a mechanic replace it for me.
