Annoying Clicking Noise 700 1992

Ok.. When I turn the Fan Blower to the on 1,2,3,4,5 position, I can heard the fan blower make noise. Here's an example: You know when you were a kid and you attached a card to your bike so that it would hit the spokes to make a clicking sound. THATS WHAT IT SOUNDS LIKE!! Well it might of been cool back then, but its not cool now. Whats wrong?? Its clearly coming for the motor. I dettached to bottom dash cover under the glove box to expose the fan motor (blower) sure enough.. its making noise. Does it need to be replaced or could I just take it off and lube it so it will shut up. I first thought maybe a leave was caught inside the unit. Maybe.. Any advise would be helpful.

Thanks

Try this.

There is a little hole on the side of the fan motor, shoot some WD-40 in it. worked for me.

Your motor may have injested a leaf or something else. My 91 940 SE will suck up plastic bags if you are not careful. Best to take the motor out and check. It really is easy with just a few screws.
