Fog Lights? 700 1985

My 85 744ti, which I just picked up, has a fog light switch but not socket in the relay location on the relay board. Any suggestions on how to wire this?

I can just run a hot wire from the low beams to the fog switch, then to a relay with fused power from the battery, then onto the fogs. But I'm curious as to why this isn't already wired like it should be. Suggestions?

ou probably have a working rear foglight. My '86 240GL came with this. You can wire fronts to it, or buy a three-way to swtich them separately. They should go off when switching to highbeam.
