I know that most everyone recomends mann filters as replacement on volvos but would a mobile 1 filter do. They sell them down the street from me and no one carries mann filters except the internet. no one in my area anyway. Can someone let me know if a mobile one filter is as good as a mann and if it is not as good then what are the diffrences.Thank you much!

I tried the Mobil 1 filter twice. It had the same issue that other aftermarket oilfilters...the oil dashboard light remained on longer on startup than the Mann. USE THE MANN. Now, the oil light goes immediately out on startup. It is a big help for insuring lubrication on cold start.

Hi Paul. I'd been using FRAM until the 'boarders frit me up good with tales of woe. However, I had no problems with the FRAM - the oil pressure light would always extinguish whilst cranking BEFORE the engine started to fire. From your information this is supposed to be good. Mind you, I changed them every 3k or so. I'm now using Volvo and the light ain't no different. I'm confused now?

From what I understand, Mobil 1 filters are very good. They ought to be at the price!

I don't like buying off the internet either, but the Mann filter can be obtained for considerably less than the Mobil One.

Unless I'm crazy. Aren't the Mobil 1 filters 8-10 dollars a pop?

Our fleet gets the $3 AC Delco filter. Never had a problem.

They are ten dollars....a lot more then mann filters but they are readily available and i would hate to put just any piece of junk filter in my car
