...went to the scrapyard and pulled a fuel pump from a b230 powered 244...Put it into a b23 powered '83 244gl, (Both LH-Jet) Was it the right thing to do?

Art,

The same fuel pump is used for all LH fuel injected cars 82.5 through 1992.

This does not apply to the pressure regulator.

Your parts store can tell you if they use the same. Now, if it's functioning is another story. Find out how to test it!

Thanks for the info guys! It was very helpful...But now can you tell me the same thing about the pre-pump. Is it different between models?
