how do you get the damn oil pressure sender off of the block? 200 89

I've picked up a 5 bar oil pressure gauge from my local yard, but I can't seem to get the sender to come off of the block. I've even gone to other 240 turbos and the same issue with all of them. The local specialty yard wants $60 for it (if I can pull it myself it will be about $3, so any help is greatly appreciated!).

Whatever tool you end up using, spray the heck out of the sender base with P'Blaster before you start. That stuff is amazing.

17 mm. stubby 200 89

They use 17mm hex on the base of the sender. I bought a stubby wrench at Sears for about $13.00 just for that job. It is not easy and you will break the adaptor off but you can then remove the sender. make sure to pull the wires off because one of the connectors is a real oddball anfd hard to match.
