can anyone help me find some '85 DL parts? 200 1985

Hi Volvo fans,
Sorry if this is the wrong board... I am in the research/parts gathering stage of converting my 1976 BMW 2002 to LH-Jetronic Fuel Injection, and I need your help. The stock Volvo parts I am looking for are most easily found on late '84-'85 Volvo DL's or GL's. Do you know of anyone parting out a late '84-'85 DL or GL? I would appreciate any leads on a wiring harness, MAF, ECU, and/or maybe the auxillary air valves.

Thanks and Joyous Times,
Elliot

I would suggest that after you decide exactly the car you need for parts find a srap yard and pull what you need. You'll get a matched system with everything in order, harness etc and seeing the setup usually helps the installation process + it will be cheaper than buying bits and pieces here and there.

Well, right off there is a problem with the statement "84 or 85". You will have to pick one and stick with it. In Volvos 84 is LH2 and 85 is LH 2.2. The systems have different ECUs, AMMs, and wire harnesses and I would stick with the 85, all things being equal. Easier to get an AMM and the ECU is not problematic like the the 84 ECU (510 or 503). Just do not try to mix and match.

The LH 2.2 used on the '85 240 with the non-turbo 4cyl engine was used from '85-'88, so you don't need to narrow your search quite as much for some parts.

Ebay also has a ton of stuff for Volvos. Look under Ebay motors, parts and accessories and search on Volvo. Those other two gentlemen can help you too. It sounds like an interesting project. The car will run quite well too.

Thanks for the offer Phil. 200 1985

I hear I need an ECU and MAF from the same car, so if you have the MAF then I'd love to work something out.

Thanks & Happy Holidays,
Elliot
