Brake Calipers 200 1984

Can someone tell me where the best (cheapest) place is to purchase the front brake calipers for my 84 240 turbo sedan? I know people buy lots of parts on the web, so rather than trying to reinvent the wheel and searching everywhere myself, I will just try to learn from the experience of others. Thanx!

I'll sell you some good used ones for cheaper than anywhere else if you'd like. You could just pull the pistons out of your calipers and scrape off the rust and see how they work. Good luck with the fixins. I'm currently going through the same ordeal with my '83 244 turbo.

If you want new, try - http://www.scantechsweden.com/volvo/index.html

If you can find someone that sells Scan Tech products, then you'll probally find that their parts are very cheap, but still very well made.

I just picked up a pair of rebuilt rear ATE calipers from the local Trak Auto. They were $31.95 each plus a $25 core charge. $120 total for the pair. The best price I found online was about $170 ($110/pair + $60core/pair), and that's not including shipping.

The most affordable calipers I've bought are the remanufactured ones
available at most local auto stores. In NJ here I've used Pep Boys and
ABC auto. Also Mechanics Auto parts. All of these places had front
calipers for around $40-50. Rear calipers are usually around $38-45.
I found this to be about half of what a lot of other places ask. These prices
are each caliper. Have a happy holiday!
