I am visiting upstate NY from Virginia. Supposed to leave tomorrow morning early. The car just will not start. The starter works great. It has a quarter tank of gas. The last time this happened it was the white sensor under the dash. I beleive it was a fuel injector sensor. Any test for this?? It just turns over with out even wanting to start. I'm stuck till this is fixed. The nearest dealership is 45 miles away and I'm almost broke. Any help would be great.

As Don suggests deal with the relay first, sounds like the same one you had replaced before, common problem but a new one should last more than a year. After that do some basic diagnostics, do you have spark at plugs, does tach nudge up slightly as you crank? If yes to both then problem is almost certainly fuel related. Bad fuel pump maybe. Post results, do you have tools, maybe we can walk you through?
I would not recommend a dealer for this, try to locate a reputable Volvo service garage.

I've checked the tach and it does not move when starting. There is no spark at the plugs. The white sensor I replaced a year ago was not new. I've also checked all the fuses and they were good. Any more suggestions??

Find the fuel pump relay (under and behind the ashtray) and resolder the internal circuit board. $0, 15 minutes, no risk, clean 'n easy job. If it doesn't help, you're out nothing and done no damage.

Where would I resolder the board at. Is there a way to test this relay??
