Best place to get stock springs. 200 1990

OK, now that Ive decided to replace my front springs, the next question is: where is the best place to buy them new. I dont want lowering, or racing springs. Just stock. Im going to be sporting Boge pro gas, and Ive read that they dont go well with the lowering springs. Something about the ride being to harsh.

Ive looked at all the online stores. They all advertise 14.5mm(heavy duty). Is that what I need? I guess Im confused by the words "Heavy duty". I just want plain oem type springs.

Thanks

I just recently measured the stock springs from my 1987 240 DL sedan because they're off the car now. The front springs measure 13mm in diameter. A 240 wagon should have the same front springs. I checked a few sources and they all had the 14.5mm HD springs only (FCP Groton, gapa.com, alloemvolvoparts.com, importpartsspec.com). There are some discount mail order Volvo dealers listed on my links page that could probably supply some stock front springs, but they don't list prices online so you'll have to call or email.

I haven't heard anything good about Boge Pro Gas, but I also haven't heard from very many users of those shocks.

Good luck.

Heavy duty means firmer, if you really want the same ride as factory try volvo, they may have stock springs, if not I know scan tech have them, you just then need to find a scan tech dealer near you.

The 14.5mm HD Springs are the BEST ones for your car. FCPGROTON.com has a good price.

Hey John,

I have a set of boge pro gas shocks that I intend to install on this car. Do you think the 14.5mm springs will be good in this set up?

Thanks
