I'm going to have a friend change bearings and synchro rings on my M-47
gearbox (84 240).

Is it posible to buy complete sets with all bearings and synchro rings? And
where should I buy it? On internet?

Just curious, do you have a working odometer/speedometer? If so, what had to be done to connect a speedo cable to the M47?

You might want to check with Rene Svastal about gearbox parts. He was rebuilding an M46, so he might know of good sources for internal parts.

I have an original "cable" speedometer working fine on my 240/M47.

I think the M47 was released in '84 here in Europe (Norway). In '85 it was introduced with an electronic speedometer.
